Is this an amazing transformation or what? Incase you do not remember. Victoria (Vika) was the little girl we had desired to adopt along with Dmitriy. The Lord in his perfect will, closed that door once we saw the condition of Dmitriy. We had true big plans to return for her. We knew it would take sometime before we could return as we had to get Dmitriy settled and once again have the funds. In the mean time I decided to post her picture to our blog. We loved her so much we thought maybe God has a family for her that can come for her now. As much as we wanted her to be ours we were heartbroken to see her left. She was a beautiful girl then and look at her now. She is a frequent conversation during our nightly devotions and as sad as we are that she is not with us, we are beyond thankful that she is where she is. She has the most wonderful family. In fact, her parents adopted Vika a sister on the same trip and returned later for another sister. Here is a small update from Vika's mom.....
"She is doing great. She is just a joy.....she is learning to read and has more friends at school than the rest of my kids put together. She was pretty much non verbal in any language and is learning to speak...it is just fun to watch her develop. We are blessed to be her parents! " ~Jeri
