An Update on Ukraine

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14: 27

My heart is so heavy tonight. I never dreamed I would witness the events that have taken place in Ukraine over the past few weeks. If you have not been following the updates, the violence continues to escalade beyond the capital city of Kiev. If things continue on this path, Ukraine may be headed towards a civil war. Despite the events taking place, the Lord has only allowed our love and burden for this country to grow. The Lord continues to show us the great need for the Gospel. While I do certainly want freedom and peace in Ukraine, the Lord alone can bring true peace and true freedom through His son, Jesus Christ. Tonight and in the days to come, that is our prayer. Pray for our Ukrainian brothers and sisters. Pray for our friends serving and ministering the Gospel to the people of Ukraine. And Pray that hearts would turn from their wicked ways to the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.

"...for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Psalm 9
