A virtuous woman is rare, says God's Word.
B ecause she loveth and feareth the Lord.
C an doubting and wanting and fear plague the home
D elivered from a woman that's eager to roam?
E very pour soul goes away satisfied
F or the virtuous woman hath a bounteous supply.
G o ye to the gate, and hear what they tell
H er work is so blessed; she doeth all well.
I magine a woman, so kind with her tongue!
J oy reigns in her household, her praises are sung.
K now why her garden, it groweth so fine?
L o, see her praying, she implores the Divine.
M erchandise everywhere, carefully wrought.
N o slumbering mornings - her Lord early sought.
O h see the weather, it's looking like snow
P urple and scarlet, her family dost know.
Q uietly working late into the night
R unning her household so well's her delight.
S uch modest apparrel adorneth this wife
T hat none can accuse her - she's blameless in life.
U seless the woman who's not in subjection
V ain wanderings in this life - then final rejection.
W hy not learn a lesson, some wisdom to win
eX actly her pattern to trace and not sin.
Y es, quietness in spirit her God satisfies.
Z ealous to please Him, her God glorifies.

Ladies' Meeting March 1987
The Lord has kindly added six more babies since this picture was taken. Four here, one in heaven and one on the way!
Taken from Proverbs 31, my mother in law wrote this for a ladies meeting. At the time of it's writing she had five small children at home. Can you imagine how busy her life was? I love where her heart was. Her heart was still there when the Lord called her to Himself three years ago. I am reminded of the verse...
"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold." Proverbs 22:1
