Thank you to those of you who joined us in prayer about the FL position, that was not in the Lord's will for us at this time. Mike got news today that he was the only person who applied for the position and they wanted to hire him but they could not because of his time on station here. Can you believe that:( So they are without a person there because they do not want to move us. Pray the Lord might change their hearts and let Mike have that position. So where do we stand now?? Mike was suppose to deploy this past July and the Lord so graciously took him out of that. He is now suppose to deploy in Jan for 6 months since he did not go in July. Pray the Lord might work a wonder yet again in that. If Mike does have to deploy we just have to be so thankful for all the times the Lord has taken him out of these deployments.
Mike had plans to cross train into another career field if this Florida position did not work out. His career field is 125% so we felt for sure they would allow him to cross train. We also found out today that because of all these deployments they will not allow him to cross train at this time.
SO.......... Mike has been volunteering with Honor Guard here and did Honor Guard at Robins and loves it. There is a 3 (I think 3) year position available here at Ellsworth and he would be the main person in charge of Honor Guard. The people that do the Honor Guard hiring really want Mike to take this position. PLEASE pray that Mike's bosses might let him out of CE and into the Honor Guard position. We would be here 3 years but it looks like they will make us be here for 3 years anyway. With Honor Guard Mike will not deploy and if we are going to be here in SD for 3 more years we desire a position where Mike will not have to deploy, this base is known for that. We are also praying about maybe Mike getting out after this 3 year enlistment is up and looking for a civil service job maybe at Robins or Eglin. Please pray the Lord might work out something miraculous and that we especially me would be content with whatever his hand brings.

We will definately keep all of you in our prayers. Just remember that everything is in the Lord's hands and he will not give us more than we can handle. You never know what other options may come up for Mike in the weeks to come just like before. All that matters is that Mike is safe and near you and the kids. I will pray that he does not have to deploy. Have a wonderful day and take the time to laugh and play with your kids to lessen the worry that I know that you feel. I am always here for you. Call me so we can talk. I love you bunches!

How sad to hear the news. Like I told you on the phone, I guess God has you right were he needs you for now. Although we don't always like or understand it, I know from experience that Gods plan and His timing is perfect. He alone knows what is best for all of us. It could be in Gods plan to send you back to GA YEA!!!! Love You and miss you all.
