"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near...." Isaiah 55:6
"I'm hungry mom, I am starving to DEATH!"...."Well good morning dear." Have you heard those words? I sure have :)! Those are the words of my beautiful children's voices first thing in the morning and becuase my children are "STARVING TO DEATH!" I manage to pull myself out of bed, put my contacts in so I can walk further down the hall without tripping over toys that were left our from the night before. From that point on my day spins in fast motion until dinner is fixed, kids are bathed and that last load of laundry is folded and put away, then I pass out or go for a walk...which ever comes first...Where did the day go? Before we know it our days have become weeks and our weeks have become years.
"For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." James 4 :14
How have we invested our day, how are we investing our life? Have we invested in things that are only temporal, or have we sought the Lord early and made eternal investments in our home and in our children? Have we carefully managed to cook, give baths, clean house and school our children but have managed to have little to no quite time with the Lord though our own personal devotions and prayer with Him. Are we like Martha who was troubled with many things? Are we so busy doing the work God has called us to do as mother's that we fail to be like Mary who sat at Jesus feet and heard His word? Luke 10
"When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek." Psalm 27:8
