With a heart full of joy and thanksgiving...
I am excited to announce that a dear little boy from D's institution has a family coming for him. This is quite a special family. They adopted another little boy from his institution a couple years ago and are now following the Lord back. They have meet Maxim on several occasions while at his facility and have prayed and advocated for him since then. Now the Lord has directed their steps to return to him once again, but this time to bring him home to be their son. Maxim has many delicate medical conditions making his transport home to America very detailed. Here is a little information about Maxim I was given from his soon to be momma.
He has spina bifida - never treated. Hydrocephaly, his legs are in a split position, and he has a proplapse from his rectum area... all of these create challenges in developing a medical transport plan which is still in process. We have gotten some assurance from the doctors at the Spina Bifida Clinic that they will help as best as they can to put together a plan. He will need to go straight to the hospital when he comes to the states. Needs his legs straightened to come down in front and prolapse surgically dealt with along with the spina bifida surgery and probable shunt will need to be placed. His teeth are rotten and will need to be addressed ASAP and I know it sounds trivial but that is VERY expensive. He will be 15 in early fall.
I am very much thrilled to advocate for Maxim's adoption allowing for him to be placed in a beautiful God honoring Christian home. Mike and I were able to meet him while we were at the facility visiting with D. He is a dear precious boy, very happy, always smiling and can even speak some English.
Adoption is costly, International Adoption is more costly and Maxim's medical conditions causing need for special transport to America will be even more costly. There will also be the costly medical expenses that will come upon his arrival in the states for his medical treatment. Dmitriy's adoption cost $29,500, we watched the Lord miraculously provide every penny. Maxim's adoption will cost well beyond that.

The family reconize their greatest need to be prayer. Will you please brothers and sisters in Christ, join in prayer for this family. Pray for them as they tackle once again the gathering of paperwork. This can be intense especially when you are trying to juggle this along with taking care of daily tasks at home. Pray the many details of his medical transport would come together as well as the details of his care upon arrival into the states. Pray for their family, for wisdom and for their other children as the Lord prepares their hearts for their new brother. Lastly, pray for the financial need and that in all this God will be glorified. This is a blessing, never a burden and worth it all.
"This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes." Psalm 118:23
